    Angry Bizarre Credit Card Issue

I've been looking at this site for a few months now and finally decided to post a comment on the fun and games I've been having.

I claimed back some credit card charges from both Capital Oneautolinker.com autolinking image and Mint a few months ago. Capital One were fine and paid up straight away, Mint have been a different story.

I was £15 in credit on the account as I'd recently transferred the balance to another account and had miscalculated the amount. Mint owed me somewhere in the region of £100 for charges. I therefore sent a letter requesting this amount, to which I received a response saying that as a gesture of goodwill they would refund the money plus the £15 credit for which I received a cheque. Thinking this would be the end of it I paid the cheque into my current account so I could close the credit card account.
The next month I receive another statement from them showing that the cheque came out of my account and I owe them £100ish pounds (minus the £15 I'd been in credit).
I contacted the customer services people to point out the mistake and that my account balance should in fact be £0. They wrote back to say they were disappointed that I'd had to contact them again but that the account had been returned to £0.
I then get a late payment letter stating that I haven't paid the minimum payment and a request for payment. I checked my credit record and they've put a late payment against the account even though THEY made the mistake and took the money from my account instead of theirs.
I wrote another letter last week asking for them to remove the late payment as I did not owe any money and they have ignored it.
They will be getting a phone callautolinker.com autolinking image tomorrow as I've had enough. Do they employ robots at banks or something? They just can't seem to get anything right!! :?

I'm hoping to get a positive response tomorrow, if not I'm going to put in a complaint to the fosautolinker.com autolinking image.

After contacting the Customer Services department and explaining that I wasn't very happy, I was informed that everything would be rectified the next time the credit reportautolinker.com autolinking image was updated.

I got a letter to confirm this and another phone callautolinker.com autolinking image on Thursday night to apologise about the problems I'd had. The woman on the phone told me that all of the credit report information gets sent in batched so I would have to wait until this month to have the error corrected.

I'm definitely not going to be using any products from the Bank of Scotlandautolinker.com autolinking image/ Halifax ever again!!!

Make sure you keep the letter. I wouldn't put it past them to "forget" again. At least you'll have eveidence if you have to go to the CRAautolinker.com autolinking image's to complain.

The problem is you'll end up with a whole list of banks at this rate. I reckon you should just put your money under the pillow........far safer!

I've kept all the correspondance which has been sent backwards and forwards. I've also sent photocopies of previous letters which they've sent everytime I reply to them and they still couldn't get it right!

I laughed as well at first when I realised what they'd done - I wasn't quite so happy once it had been going on for more than a few weeks though!

Believe me, if wages etc. didn't have to be paid into banks, I'd be a whole lot happier putting my money where I could see it, and where it wouldn't take a few days to transfer it from one pillow to another!!!!
