PPI charges in my favour

Just spoken to A&L on the phone..had a PPUI case since Jan 09...after much debaye I spoke to their customer reps today who said they found in my favour and have posted an offer letter 6th May..
Told him did not recieve it so has sent another offer out today..I mentioned about a time limit to reply but he said there was none due to me not reciving the letter.

Has anybody else recieved their PPI letters ? and if so was the amount offered a sensible one, and was there a cutoff date which you had to accept offer by ?

I have a sneaky feeling they may be trying to hod on to letters so deadlines are missed bu effected customers..
