Barclaycard Pre 1983
I recently s77/78'd Barclaycard and they have responded that as my agreement was from before 19th May 1985 under s9 of The Consumer Credit (Cancellation Notices and Copies of Documents) Regulations 1983 they only have to provide the latest
terms and conditions .
Can anyone explain any differences or problems with old pre-1983 agreementsLast edited by checkthatcredit; 9th June 2009 at 18:29.

Barclaycard are citing s9 of this as they have lost/destroyed/ had an accident with my agreement. Obviously they do not have it after all these years but could anyone give me pointers on which way to proceed.

Hi CTC,
BC are not keen to produce ANY credit agreements, old ones or more recent.
However, you cannot assume their reply means they don't have an agreement for you.
If you want sight of the agreement, you'll have to try using the CPR strategy (see Link No2 in mysignature below) or complain to the
fos .
Read other BC threads to see what is going on with this subject on other BC cases.
