Cahoot Reduces Charges!
I recieved the following message from cahoot, through the secure message doodah on their website:
"Information about your cahoot credit card fees and charges We have reduced the fees relating to your cahoot credit card. The fee for exceeding your credit limit has now been reduced from GBP 25 to GB 12. The fee for making a late payment has now been reduced from GBP 25 to GBP 12. If you have any queries please get in touch through 'contact us' above. An email has been sent to "my emailaddress" detailing the changes. If you did not receive a copy of this email, please email us through 'contact us' and also check that your contact details are up to date in 'change my details'."
It would seem that somebody in cahoot has noticed that the fees they were charging are illegal and they have reduced them!Story so far...
BOS - Student account - preliminary request letter sent
Cahoot - Current account - list of charges totalling £420 recieved
Cahoot - Credit card - list of charges totalling £200
Mint - Request for list of charges made by telephone and letter.

Re: Cahoot Reduces Charges!
What really p1sses me off about Cahoot and the other online-only banks is that they also claim their charges are a reflection of the costs incurred by them.
At least with a bricks-and-mortar banks they can claim costs for letters/postage etc (OK, £12+ is still excessive, but....).
For my Cahoot account, I recieve an email telling me to visit their website - and that's it. I can't wait to hear them justifying their £30 charges for that!

Re: Cahoot Reduces Charges!
My apologies.
I'd just recieved what I assume is their standard response to the prelim letter. An email along the lines of "We're doing nothing wrong and you're not getting a penny from us"
I guess it really...annoyed...me...
Sorry
