Default RBOS- How long should i wait?

I applied for a refund on my bank chargesautolinker.com autolinking image over 2 months ago. I received a letter on the 1st of May stating the were considering my claim. However i have had zero contact from them since. Should i contact them, is there a certain amount of time by which they must get back to me?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

David

Did you mention something about 14 days on the bottom of your letter?

If so you've had the answer all along.

Yes i did state 14 days on my letter but they replied within 14 days to say they were lookinginto my claim. That was over a month ago. Worth calling them up?

Their response wasn't a positive one, ie it didn't achieve anything for you. It only achieved a delay for them.

They didn't offer you any monies, so you go to the next stage letter.

These days these letters are just a token gesture, in most cases they will not illicit a satisfactory response from the bank, therefore you should prepare yourself for going on via either the courts or the FO. If it's the former then you stick to your time scale, if it's the latter you wait for the 56 days from your first letter of complaint.
