Default help please!! debenhams/ge money/santander

just wondered if anyone could please give me some advice, i have started the process of reclaiming for ppi on my debenhams acc, and have had the usual letters where they fob you off, i have written back saying i wanted them to rethink there decision, they have sent a replay today saying that they will not be changing their mind as i signed the form in 2001 and so must of been happy with everything and should of cancelled the cover staright away, i never recieved any documents regarding this policy and was only working part time for my hubby at the time , so it would of been of no use, but they will not reconsider but say to go to fla, which i gather is no use from other posts, any ideas from anyone would be gratefully recieved, thank you

I'm having the same battle with them over PPI - they are very stubborn.

If you opened your account in store you probably had the same form as me & the OH, there is NOWHERE to sign for ppi or even a 'tick' box consenting to ppi.

Just received my cca (bad copy) from CL - after Santander stating they no longer have it due to the age of the account, in very small print at the bottom its stated that ppi will be added free for 28 days - its up to you to cancel within that time if you dont want it (complete rubbish - IMHO!)

If you'd like the exact wording I'll happy quote the paragragh on your thread.

With compound interestautolinker.com autolinking image mine stands at well over £9k.

I cant find any success stories concerning Debenhams ppi - hoping mine may be amongst the first

I too am having a big ongoing battle with these .........s. They will fob you off all the time referring you to the FLA - useless, dont bother! saying that you cannot go to the fosautolinker.com autolinking image. The fosautolinker.com autolinking image may not be able to deal with the claim against Debenhams/GE Money/Santander due to the fact that they were not regulated at the time but if you can find out who the underwriters of the policy were (mine were Financial Insurance Co) then they may be able to make the complaint against them as they were regulated. At this present time I am waiting for an adjudicator from the fosautolinker.com autolinking image to get in touch with me regarding my complaint. Hopefully I will eventually get somewhere as it has taken well over a year of corresponding with Debenhams then GE then Santander and they will use every trick in the book to put you off. My advise - dont be fobbed off - the more they did it to me the more determined it made me to bring these ........s to justice. Pursue, pursue, pursue and I hope that you will get a good outcome!
