Default Beachy is shocked & stunned by EGG Loan PPI

Morning everyone,

Didn't have time to start a new thread on this one

Last Monday sent EGG a complaint regarding PPI on an old Egg loan, citing high pressure tele advisors & my employment status. Expected the usual fight.

Letter pops throught the door this morning AGREEING that I should not have been sold the PPI and a cheque for £1,850 will be sent out within 10 - 14 days.

Shocked and stunned (Barclayloan victory last week and now EGG - I'm on on roll, whose next )

Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

That's good news delevered very quickly!!

Egg must have had their knuckles rapped because there seem to be a lot less rejections recently. I have 2 with the fosautolinker.com autolinking image (been there for 1 yr now), they made an offer on the one to the fosautolinker.com autolinking image but not the other. As the second loan was a refinancing the fosautolinker.com autolinking image apparently want Egg to make an offer on both so it has been referred to another Adjudicator.

Thanks Tink,

Yeap really surprised with this quick result.

Others :-

Barclayloan - Won
Barclays Business Loan - Won

Barclaycard a/c1 - admit mis selling wont refund full amount, also upheld by fosautolinker.com autolinking image (Looks like court)
Barclaycard a/c2 - admit mis selling wont refund full amount, currently with fosautolinker.com autolinking image.

Egg Card - Refused claim but fosautolinker.com autolinking image found in my favour awaiting refund

Egg Card 2 - eight weeks without acknowledgement, now with FOS.

And of course the infamous GE/Debenhams, currently on the back burner, but I aint giving in on this one (claim in the region of about £10k).

Thanks,

It was sent to Customer Relations Manager, Riverside Park, Derby.

I didnt quote figures, just stated that ppi was added to the loan & that the tele advisor put pressure on me to have ppi to get approval for the loan knowing full well that I was self employed (I believe Egg were fined heavily for high pressure ppi sales over the phone).

Refund offered is more or less what i expected so have accepted it (need the money).
