Default Lucid vs Cahoot

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that this is going to be nothing in comparison to what myself and Mindzai are going through at the moment with Lloyds, but unfortunately I've made a couple of minor mistakes with my Cahoot and Smile accounts which means I need to begin this whole process with them.

A couple of months ago I went about £10 overdrawn for one day in my Cahoot account after a payment took a day longer to clear than I expected. So I received a £30 charge and, after contacting them to ask if they would cancel the charge and getting told that they wouldn't, I made sure that I had the money paid in to cover this charge. Now on my latest statement I've seen that I'm going to get charged another £30 on 18th October because my account was overdrawn by £2.24.:o I hadn't realised that my account was overdrawn at the time and had obviously made a mistake. But as I knew that they wouldn't cancel this charge I decided that I best get a preliminary letter emailed to them in the hope that they will pay attention. At the moment I will not have the money to be able to cover this charge when it's taken and so will be taken overdrawn again and the long cycle will begin.

I emailed the prelim letter to contact.us@cahoot.com on 6th October and have asked them to refund the original £30 charge and to cancel the £30 they intend to take on 18th October. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and am hoping that because it's a relatively small amount that they will go ahead and do this without too much trouble.

I will update any progress as it happens.

Well after two weeks of hearing absolutely nothing from them I have just emailed my lbaautolinker.com autolinking image. Since my prelim email they have taken a further £30 charge which I have now added on to the total. I have also pointed out that section 15.3 of the Banking Codeautolinker.com autolinking image requires them to give a written acknowledgement of customer complaints within 5 working days of receipt - so have prompted them to at least do this on this occasion.
