Initial letters sent in March for reclaim of £2700 of Bank charges over 6 years, which covers 2 accounts held with them.

Received letter in return offering 50% as goodwill gesture.....letter sent back refusing this and again asking for full amount.

Letter then received back from Barclays saying that as we have rejected this amount then they cannot help us any further.....

Charges filed with County Court of 24th April for full amount including interest....

Now sat waiting!

Update.....Charges claim filed on the 29th April...as of today..still no acknowledgement or any contact.

Getting very nervous now. Can anyone advise of what could happen now or what is likely to happen? How long do I have to sit and wait?

When the period specified in your online claim has expired (14 days from 29th April I think, so that should be 13th May?) then go back to website and enter judgement by default against Barclays. Barclays can appeal against this but they have to have a damn good reason for the Court to allow an extension of that 14 days.
You can then apply to enforce payment ie baliffs entering premises. It costs but you get it back.

my claim was also issued on the 29th and i have heard nothing from barclays....I haven't even had an offer from them. It is worrying, but hold out!

Update......Have recieved letter from courts...

Mr Keith Jeremiah has 'intended to defend all of the claim!'

Now very worried...will have to swot up on all of the site to make sure I am ready!

Has anyone got any advice???

i just got that same letter today! Hope i don't have to go all the way to northampton. I am hoping things won't go that far - how successful have people been with Barclays?

Just throwing one out here, but let's not be naive...

...there seems to be a lack of people who have reported to have gotten their money back. None have put their details into the litigation concluded section. Make what you will of this. However, no one has reported to have not won their money back...gagging orders?

I've a few days left before I launch my moneyclaim as the LBA is about to have run its course. I, like most others, have been offered a few quid, in relative terms, to drop my case. I will not. The lack of reprted victories/acts of justice is not testament to the genuine results...hopefully!!??

We have a lot of users currently waiting for the defnce to back down after they have had a defence filed. I suspect they will but we will have to wait and see, alot of it will happen in the next couple of weeks!

No advice Skip, however! Keep the faith and dont worry... I expect the 'greedies' are monitoring this site and reporting directly to Mr 'Keith Jeremiah'...

OK!! Now i'm running scared...Have recieved a defence through the post...also they have moved the court to my local court and want to charge me £100 for the priviliege!!

The defence is about 3 pages long....What do I do??????

The fee is not for them moving to your local court - this is where it would be anyway.

It is for the Allocation Questionnaire and only for claims above £1500. We are very close to finalising a help file on filling this in, and it should be in our FAQs very soon indeed.

There is nothing to worry about, it's all quite standard, especially if they are trying their best to put you off!!

Ok Guys...I am going to post Barclays defence on tomorrow as will take a while to type but in the mean time I need some advice...

I have the change of court forms and need to fill them in within a week....there are 4 sections that I am querying..

1 - Track.....Is the small claims court the most suitable way to go?

2 - Am I calling any witnesses? (I think no but I could be wrong!!)

3 - Do I need to call an expert?

4 - What other information do I need to submit? (I.e any phrases such as I do not dispute that I knew about the charges but the amounts are disproportionate ...etc etc)

Sorry if these are dumb questions but I am a little confused by everything?
